Welcome Message
Welcome to the San Jacinto Valley Academy Educational Team!
Our goal is for all students to continuously increase their learning!
You are an important part of SJVA’s great “team” of teachers, support staff, parents, community, volunteers, PTA, SJVA Board, and administration. Our direction is to strengthen our “roots” and grow. Established since 1997 and fully WASC accredited, SJVA starts its 14th year on Monday, August 16, 2010.
Our “roots” are going deeper into the community with the addition of partnerships with Mt. San Jacinto Community College, “Grandfathers for Golf,”
visual and performing arts in the Diamond Valley Arts Center, and CIF for even more SJVA sport teams! In 2010-11, we cheer on the new high school and middle school soccer teams and welcome middle school students to work out with the SJVA high school golf team (last year’s CIF League Champions!)
Our “growth” is seen through our increasing academic achievement, raising standards for students’ learning and teachers’ teaching, adding more to student services, and having additional facilities, including a beautiful kindergarten classroom with their own bathroom facilities, and safety fencing!
Our new Athletic Director and our coaches are ready to lead our teams to victory. We look to re-locating and growing our students’ garden size so it continues to give us all joy, watching the famously tall sunflowers, and super-sized pumpkins grow, week-by-week!
We are proud of the fact that SJVA is an “inquiry” school. We use “inquiry” approaches to motivate and actively involve students in their learning. Schoolwide procedures, such as the “dress code” for shirt tops, are to support the learning environment to continuously increase students’ learning.

Respect Yourself, Respect Others This year our counseling theme is RESPECT YOURSELF, RESPECT OTHERS. This theme has been the focus when the students meet with the counselor relating to anything from college admission to suicide prevention. In order to respect others, students have to first learn to respect themselves. The idea of self-respect is very closely related to self confidence. We want our students to feel confident in themselves and in the decisions they make in every aspect of the lives. (click link below to view more) |
